Turn off "Improve the model for everyone" How do I turn off training for Codex tasks? If you use Codex on a personal ChatGPT plan, the “Improve the model for everyone” setting also applies to your Codex tasks. Turn it off in ChatGPT under Settings → Data Controls, or select “Do not train on my content” in the privacy portal . A privacy portal opt-out is reflected in your account’s data settings. Once you opt out, new ChatGPT conversations and Codex tasks won’t be used to train our models. Codex has a separate setting for training on full environments in Codex Settings . Changing the ChatGPT setting or opting out through the privacy portal does not change that Codex setting. Does this functionality sync between web and mobile devices? Yes. Once you turn off model training, the setting applies to your entire account. It doesn’t matter which device you’re using. How do I export my data from ChatGPT?
