Suicide and Self-Harm Risk
At Discord, we are committed to creating and maintaining a safe online environment and preventing harm. At Discord, we care deeply about our users' safety and well-being and understand the importance of healthy online communities for mental well-being.
We do not allow the coordination or the graphic depiction of self-harm or of suicide. Self-harm is when one intentionally hurts or causes themselves pain, and suicide is the intentional act of ending one's life. Examples of self-harm behaviors include intentionally ending one's life, self-inflicted injury, and engaging in disordered eating patterns.
Self-Harm Encouragement and Promotion
Using Discord to glorify or promote suicide or self-harm is not allowed under any circumstance. We believe in fostering a positive and healthy environment where users can come together to support one another. However, it is important that these discussions do not promote, glorify, or normalize self-harm behaviors. Our goal is to ensure that everyone feels safe and supported.
Eating Disorder Content
Discord prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of our users. We do not allow any content or behavior that promotes eating disorders or encourages users to engage in behaviors associated with eating disorders. Eating disorder behaviors include but are not limited to excessive fasting, binging-and-purging, etc.
